Role Overview

NVIDIA is hiring bright young technologists for multiple VLSI roles in the Hardware Group. This opening spans multiple ASIC-focused teams working on next-generation computing and AI silicon.

Opportunity to work on advanced chip implementation, timing closure, DFT architecture, power optimization, SoC assembly, and CAD tooling for world-class semiconductor products.

Teams Hiring

  • Physical Design Team: RTL-to-GDS flow, floorplanning, PNR, timing closure, physical verification.
  • Timing Team: Full-chip/chiplet STA, MMMC convergence, timing sign-off and QoR improvements.
  • DFX Team: DFT architecture, Memory BIST, JTAG, ATPG, verification and productization.
  • PSSG Team: Power bring-up, silicon KPI correlation, perf/watt optimization, power modeling.
  • Circuit Design Team: SRAM circuit design, compiler development, PPA optimization at advanced nodes.
  • SOCD Team: SoC assembly, front-end quality checks, chip milestones, scalable SoC methodologies.
  • CAD Team: Build DFT/DFP flows and automation tools using C++, Python, and TCL.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Drive chip/block-level implementation and closure activities.
  • Collaborate with RTL, PnR, DFT, architecture, and validation teams.
  • Build timing constraints, analyze bottlenecks, and improve timing convergence.
  • Debug design and tool issues; improve automation and flow scalability.
  • Perform data-driven experiments and analysis for performance, power, and reliability.
  • Contribute to robust methodologies for next-generation ASIC and SoC development.

  • Education: Pursuing B.Tech. / M.Tech
  • Strong analytical skills to solve difficult engineering problems
  • Understanding of programming languages and processors
  • Good grasp of OS fundamentals and digital design concepts
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Team collaboration mindset for cross-functional execution
